SMS Terms & Conditions
These SMS Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the WorkHub SMS Notification Program (the “Program”) operated by S. MacDonald Contracting LLC, doing business as SMC Contracting (“SMC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By agreeing to receive Program messages, you agree to these Terms and to our SMS Privacy Policy.
1. Program Description
WorkHub is SMC’s internal field-operations and ticketing application, used only by SMC employees. The Program sends automated, informational text messages about your WorkHub account and the tickets you work on:
- Account invitation — one message with the sign-in link and your initial PIN.
- PIN reset — a new PIN, sent only when an SMC administrator resets it at your request.
- Ticket notifications — status updates on work tickets and trucking tickets you created or need to approve.
The Program does not send advertising or promotional messages.
2. Who Can Participate and How Consent Is Collected
Participation is limited to SMC employees. At onboarding you complete SMC’s WorkHub SMS consent form, providing your name and mobile number and checking a required consent statement that includes message frequency, the message-and-data-rates disclosure, STOP and HELP instructions, and links to these Terms and the SMS Privacy Policy. An SMC administrator then confirms your consent is on file when creating your WorkHub account. No message is sent until both steps are complete. You must be 18 or older and the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number on your account. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of employment.
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies with your workload. You may receive up to 30 messages per month.
4. Cost
Message and data rates may apply. SMC does not charge for Program messages, but your wireless carrier’s standard messaging and data rates apply. Check with your carrier for details.
5. How to Opt Out and Get Help
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages will be sent unless you opt in again by replying START. Reply HELP for assistance, call 561-689-8848, or email info@smccontracting.com.
6. Sample Messages
- SMC WorkHub: You've been added to WorkHub. Sign in at workhub.smccontracting.com with login [login] and PIN [PIN]. Reply STOP to opt out.
- SMC WorkHub: Your administrator reset your PIN. Your new PIN is [PIN]. Reply STOP to opt out.
- SMC WorkHub: Work ticket [ticket] ([job]) was approved. Reply STOP to opt out.
- SMC WorkHub: Trucking ticket [ticket] was rejected by the Trucking PM. Please review. Reply STOP to opt out.
7. Supported Carriers
The Program is available on major U.S. wireless carriers. Not all carriers or devices are supported, and availability may change. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Privacy
Your mobile phone number and consent information are used only to operate the Program. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our SMS Privacy Policy for full details.
9. Your Responsibilities
Notify your SMC administrator promptly if you change or deactivate your mobile number so that we can update your account and stop sending messages to a number you no longer control.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability
The Program is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. SMC does not guarantee that messages will be delivered without delay, interruption, or error. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SMC is not liable for any delayed, undelivered, or misdirected messages, or for any errors, omissions, or interruptions in the Program, including those caused by wireless carriers or other service providers.
11. Changes to the Program or These Terms
SMC may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Program, and may update these Terms, at any time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with a revised effective date.
