SMS Notifications Program
How SMC Contracting employees agree to receive WorkHub text messages, what those messages are, and how to stop them.
Who receives messages
WorkHub is an internal application used only by employees of SMC Contracting to manage work tickets, trucking tickets, and approvals. There is no public sign-up. Text messages are sent only to employees who have agreed to receive them as described below.
How an employee agrees to receive messages
Consent is collected in a single step, on the WorkHub sign-in screen. No message is sent to an employee’s number until that step is complete.
Before signing in, the employee must check a required consent box agreeing to receive WorkHub notifications by text message at the mobile number on their account. The box is unchecked by default and sign-in cannot proceed without it. Each confirmation is stored against the employee’s account with the date and time.
Consent statement shown to the employee at sign-in:
Employees who no longer wish to receive messages reply STOP to any message; no further texts are sent to that number.
What messages are sent

Messages are automated and informational. SMC Contracting does not send marketing or promotional text messages through this program, and this program does not send WorkHub account invitations or PIN resets.
Frequency and cost
Message frequency varies with the employee’s ticket and approval activity. Message and data rates may apply according to the employee’s mobile plan. Consent to receive messages is not a condition of employment.
How to stop or get help
- Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts. Reply START to resubscribe.
- Reply HELP for assistance, or contact your SMC administrator.
Privacy
Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are used only to deliver the messages described on this page. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.
